States that require Classroom Training
Please note that some states require classroom only certification for training. This changes from state to state and from year to year. Most states will allow on line training so the classroom only states are very few. When signing up, the process will allow you to continue if you are in a online state, but will not if you have to attend a classroom certification course.
For Ohio Students Only:
Before you can take the Ohio State Exam, you must first pass the proctored test. We schedule students in our Dayton facility to take the proctored exam for free. If you live in a city or town in Ohio that might be a long drive from Dayton, then you have the option to take the proctored exam at a Hondros College facility for $69. They are located in the following cities:
- Columbus/Westerville - Main Campus
- Akron/Canton
- Cleveland East/Willoughby
- Cleveland South/Independence
- Toledo/Maumee
